These ran every Wednesday 7:30 - 9:45 (with a break for a cup or tea and a biscuit) from 3rd May to 30th August.  We had a different MC every week with a huge variety of programmes.  Our Family night was well attended by children from our classes and off-spring of our members.  The final two evenings had a medley of MCs.  Musicians throughout the season included Frank Thomson (our resident musician!), Angela Young, Kathleen Anderson, Erika Fairhead, Iain Cruikshanks and Charlie Abel.

Spring Dance 2017

The Spring Dance this year returned to the MacRobert Hall at Robert Gordon's School on Friday 10th March.  Dancing was to Alan Ross and his band.  This was an excellent dance and we were delighted that a large number of our two Introductory class members came along (and were ably helped by many of the dancers attending).

Beginner's Charity Dance

This year we had two Introductory classes and we thought we would let them see what happens at a "dance" before they venture to come along to our Spring Dance (see below).  So we booked Holburn West Church Hall on Sunday 5th February and there was dancing followed by a cup of tea and a piece of cake!  The dance was for a charity (Aberdeen Art Gallery) and the cost was 5.  Frank Thomson was the musician, and the dances were simple.  Everyone welcome.

Global Youth Week Dance

RSCDS HQ launched an initiative for Global Youth Week which the Branch has interpreted to mean - anyone younger than yourself!  There was a dance on Sunday 15th January at Craigiebuckler Church Hall 2:30 - 4:00 to which everyone was invited - and bring someone younger along with you!  The dance was a mixture of ceilidh dancing and simple Scottish Country Dancing.  No tickets - just turn up!  Entry by donation. We were delighted to welcome Charlie Abel (from Iron Broo dance band) as our musician.
