|The Branch was founded in 1925, just 2 years
after the Royal Society of Scottish Country Dancing was founded by Miss
Jean Milligan. Since then, the Branch has been running classes and
dances for Children and Adults, and still does so today.
In 2015 we celebrated our 90th Anniversary with a Book "9 for 90" and accompanying CD (with Frank Thomson's band) and a Dinner Dance, Afternoon Tea Party and a Party for the children's classes.
In 2020 we planned to celebrate our 95th Anniversary with a Ball but sadly we have had to cancel this due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope to run the Ball next year - but still to be confirmed.
